CALL2NATURE

Bettering the use of smartphones in youth towards environmental protection

THE PROJECT

Call2Nature is an Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership in the field of Youth Education that involves 6 partners from 4 Countries (Italy, Spain, Greece, and Denmark), working together to raise awareness and educate regarding smart and healthy use of smartphones and technology. Its main objective is to help young people reconnect with the physical world, as well as show youth how to use their digital world to have a positive impact on their physical world by engaging in digital activism.

PROJECT RESULTS

During 2 years of project implementation, Call2Nature aims to develop the following list of Outcomes & Results:

Multilingual and Multilevel Project Website: available in English, Italian, Spanish, Greek and Danish.

•Innovative Auto-Evaluation Tool for Youth regarding their Digital Practices: An innovative self-reflection tool that will help youth make connections between their digital presence and a connection to the physical world and in what ways they can make a difference.

Reconnect to Nature Programme: A programme to get back in touch with the natural world, including a revolutionary manual with 20 “disconnected” activities for youth to participate in, to be tested internally during an exciting Mobility for Youth and Youth Workers in Greece.

•Online Training Platform for “Smart” Phone usage: An online platform including the hosting of the developed manual, as well as smart connected activities inspired by the Reconnect to Nature programme to assist in its implementation, with the objective of educating youth and youth workers to a smarter use of smart devices.

•Train the Trainer tool for exploitation of developed results: Through the collaboration of all partners, a document detailing how to implement and best use the developed results, such as the innovative disconnected activities and engaging online course will be developed to be shared with figures active in youth development and youth work to better inform them on how to best exploit these project outputs.
